New firmware 2016 04 14 (10077) available!
From the HP team:

New versions should be up on the FTP now. Connectivity kit check for update will find them. The windows emulator check for update should find the other as well. If your network blocks direct connection, the direct link can be found at "ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/Prime/" (works only in IE!)

This is a major release with a lot of new functionality, and extensive under the hood work in prep for later things. The marketing "blurb" is as follows:
  • Use the touch screen to move and stretch your function plots and see how your changes affect the equation
  • Enhanced touch screen curve sketching with cubic support
  • Add a picture to the background of any graph.
  • Draw your own fit with your finger in the Statistics 2Var app
  • Improved help throughout the system
  • Quality and reliability improvements

Note: Due to a need to format the internal flash structure of the calculator, all data will be lost during this update. Perform a "backup" using the connkit to save your data if there is anything you need to keep. If you click the "backup" button on the update screen and it immediately pops up a "failed" message, just click backup again and it should be fine.

The manuals are not yet ready for posting as they were delayed due to some unfortunate circumstances. On calculator help is up to date however.

Have fun!

Detailed release information for those interested:

RE: New firmware 2016 04 14 (10077) available!
Hello
I'm super happy with the new firmware and HP Connectivity 2016 04 14.
It now works fine to update the HP-prime with USB 3.0 ports.

What I wanted "Gradian support" has now arrived and it works really well.
And a lot more fun in the new firmware.

Thank you so much!!!

SINCERELY
Connery

New firmware disappeared from ftp-site. Replaced by firmware dated 20140617. Are there bad problems with new firmware?

Johan.

RE: New firmware 2016 04 14 (10077) available!
Where did "New firmware 2016 04 14 (10077)" go?
When I go to the download link all I can find is one from 2015-06-17.
Is there any other place I can go to find the new firmware?

It's in the archive folder for some reason... still works though. Just used it today.

It's really strange, that it's still in the archive to date.

Also does anyone know where to find a new User's Guide for this revision? It's done within the month of May... but it looks I'm too stupid to find it.

I expect a better service from HP than this and I know they can deliver!

Thomas
